    • Briefing from seniors about Operational Procedure on current digester
    • Learnt how to travel to and fro from SVF
    • Learnt about floorplan and had briefing on SVF

    • Read up on FYP Report from Seniors
    • Learn Operating Procedure on current Digester and each individual components

      Further Discussion on Goals, Design of Experiment (DOE) (20th April 2010)

      Tasks Done: 
      • Gas Detector/Analyser
          • Use Buswell equation to estimate amount of each gas (CH4, H2S, N2, CO2, O2) produced
         
          • DOE on current digester and also on new digester
            • Material of Construction should be inexpensive and easy to obtain
            • Operational procedure should be simplified
            • Maintenance required should be as minimal as possible
            • Total production cost should be relatively cheap
            • Overall height of digester should be within 2m

          Tasks To Do:
          • Start designing prototype

                 1. Set FYP Target
              • Set basis at 100-200 people per community (8 people per family)
              • Obtain as much H2S removal and byproducts as possible
              • Increase fermentation speed
              • Optimize energy recovery
              • Increase methane output
                 2. Read and understand related digesters/patents

                 3. Reading up on handout of Digestive and Wetland System

                 4. Start getting ready to design Digester
              • Understand and improve previous design

            Tasks To Do:
            • Read up on digestion system (Anaerobic then Aerobic)
